Satan Bound
The Bottomless Pit

Finally ... Satan that dragon and the Father of all lies is put into chains and cast into the bottomless pit for 10000 years.
Rev.20:1-3
Satan Bound for 1000 years. In Revelation 20:1-3 the angel refers to Satan by four of his names so we know exactly whom he is talking about, "Dragon," "Serpent," "Devil," and "Satan." While Satan has great power and influence, he is not omnipotent. An angel of the Lord is able to seize and bind him. This angel has the key to the "BOTTOMLESS PIT."

The Great Mountain which is the Kingdom of Jesus Christ crushes the kingdoms of men.
The Stone cut out of the mountain destroys the image (kingdoms of man). This stone is Jesus and He sets up His eternal kingdom.
Rev.20:4," Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their foreheads and on their hands; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years."

What can we expect from the 1000 year reign of Jesus who is the Son of God. How will it be different from the rest who have come before Him? Let's look at some of the characteristics of His reign.

This is a fulfillment of the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles - The house of the Lord is now the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth, and we shall live and reign in the house of our Lord forever. ​​

Judgment of the Nations

Matthew 25:34, “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
Matthew 25:41, “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

He will rule with a rod of iron - Psalms 149; God’s people will accompany Christ in judgment (Revelation 19:11 onwards). The weapons are not literal swords but the double-edged sword of the word of God (Hebrews 4:12). The reign of Jesus Christ is not the perfect kingdom of Revelation 21-22. ​

If it was a perfect kingdom there would be no need to rule with a rod of Iron or have judges over the people and no need for the devil to be loosed after 1000 years. But though the kingdom may not be perfect yet ... King Jesus' judgment is perfect including His judgment of the nations.

It will last for 1000 years: This will make the reign of Jesus the longest-running continuous reign of any king in history.
The 5th Doom -
Satan Released from the Pit

Rev. 20:7 " When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be released from his prison, 8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the sand of the seashore. 9 And they came upon the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
The last war, the last battle to ever take place for eternity is about to happen at this time. Satan is released from the pit and he will find those who were not happy with the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on earth. They were upset and mad because they could not do as they wanted and lead many back into sin. They never liked God's laws and silently rebelled as not to call attention to their intentions. They will openly do and follow the law until a back is turned and they think they have an upper hand and then they take for themselves and blame it on someone else.

It is to these individuals that Christ will rule with a rod of iron, according to God's laws. These individuals Satan will easily convince to follow him and together they can take back the kingdom that he believes was his from the beginning. They will gather in the planes to the East of the world's Capital City of Jerusalem.
As the gathering of all Stan's last army is complete, they notice the clouds gathering in the heavens about them, they're looking more ominous by the hour. Darker and darker they become causing concern from the people, there is great concern among the people there. Then a sudden moment of dark eerie silence from the heavens above as each man looks in wonderment at each other. Then comes the sound of the thunder and the crack of lightning striking the ground all around them. Small balls of hail mixed with sulfur begin falling from the sky. Soon larger chucks weighing over 100 pounds are striking the people gathered for war. The wood and trees and grass fields begin to catch fire and many people fall dead. Soon the judgment of Sodom and Gomorrah has been revisited on this last rebellion and they are no more ... war is over before it began.
The Dragon who is Satan and all his army is thrown into the Lake of Fire. Finally, Satan and his evil demonic legends have met their end also ... forever.

The Timing of this Judgment:
This judgment will take place after the Millennial reign of Christ when the earth, the atmosphere, and the universe are destroyed by fire. “The heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).

As this judgment is taking place the Lord is dealing with the place of so much sin that it required His Son to die for. He destroys the face of the earth and creates all things new. There will be 7 new things He re-creates.
